Djinn in an oriental palace
Djinn in an oriental palace.
Djinn, also spelled as jinn, are supernatural beings prominent in Islamic mythology and folklore. They are often described as invisible creatures with the ability to take various forms, including that of animals or humans.
Djinn are considered to possess free will, similar to humans, and can be either good or evil. Unlike angels, who are inherently good and obedient to God, djinn can choose their paths.
While they are typically invisible, djinn can manifest in physical forms. They are often associated with smoke or fire, as some traditions describe them as beings created from “smokeless fire”.
